If you live, work, worship, volunteer, or attend school in one of the following counties, you are eligible to join Mutual Credit Union.
Eligible counties: Adams, Alcorn, Amite, Attala, Benton, Bolivar, Calhoun, Carroll, Chickasaw, Choctaw, Claiborne, Clarke, Clay, Coahoma, Copiah, Covington, DeSoto, Grenada, Hinds, Holmes, Humphreys, Issaquena, Itawamba, Jasper, Jefferson, Jefferson Davis, Jones, Kemper, Lafayette, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Leake, Lee, Leflore, Lincoln, Lowndes, Madison, Marshall, Monroe, Montgomery, Neshoba, Newton, Noxubee, Oktibbeha, Panola, Pontotoc, Prentiss, Quitman, Rankin, Scott, Sharkey, Simpson, Smith, Sunflower, Tallahatchie, Tate, Tippah, Tishomingo, Tunica, Union, Warren, Washington, Webster, Wilkinson, Winston, Yalobusha or Yazoo.

This includes:
- Spouses of someone who has died within the field of membership of Mutual Credit Union
- Employees of Mutual Credit Union
- Members of the immediate family or household of a member
- Organizations of such persons
Immediate family is defined to include spouse, child, sibling, parent, grandparent, or grandchild (this includes step parents, stepchildren, step siblings, and adoptive relationships).
A household is defined as persons living in the same residence maintaining a single economic unit.

Verify yourself
Provide your cell phone number to start the ID process. Then verify yourself using 2-factor authentication and the last 4 digits of your SSN.
Identify yourself
Double check the identity information pulled and provide a government-issued ID, driver’s license/state ID, passport, or another form of approved identification.
Fund your account
Deposit as little as $15 (a $10 initial deposit and $5 membership fee) to open your account.
What you need to join
Before you start your application, gather the following identification.
One (1) primary form of identification:

- U.S. Military ID with picture (not expired)
- Passport with photo (not expired)
- U.S. Alien registration
- Permanent Residence Card (Green card)
- Visa
Proof of address is required if the address differs from that on the applicant’s primary identification.

- Utility bill
- Lease agreement
- Bank and/or credit card statements
- Mortgage statement
- Voter registration
- Official government mail
If under the age of 16 years old, you will need two (2) secondary forms of identification such as:
