Teller

The successful candidate will be ready and willing to work in an energetic and friendly environment, have excellent customer service skills, be articulate and able to communicate effectively with members. Mutual Credit Union requires a High School Diploma or GED for consideration of this position. Cash handling and customer service experience is desired.

Accountant

Responsible for providing accounting support in financial accounting areas including but not limited to general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, and accounts payable. Reviews and verifies the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records. Responsible for providing exceptional member service to both external members and internal team members as defined by living and demonstrating the core values of the credit union; Act with Integrity, Drive Progress, Build & Strengthen Relationships and Keep People at the Core. Along with delivering professional, consistent, timely, and helpful service with a positive attitude. 

 

As an Accountant, you will have opportunities to: 

  • Work with numbers from a variety of sources 
  • Be a part of a collaborative team and/or work independently on researching and reporting needs 
  • Complete and maintain various general ledger reconciliations. 
  • Complete daily and monthly general ledger entries. 
  • Accounts Payable – Input invoices into the A/P module, including coding, scanning, obtaining approvals, and record keeping.
  • Maintain investment, fixed asset, and prepaid sub-ledgers and records monthly depreciation and amortization expenses in accordance with established policies and procedures. 
  • Verify and post daily journal entries to the general ledger and other tracking systems. 
  •  Reconcile bank and other statements. 
  • Keep assigned general ledgers in balance and provide accurate and timely general ledger reconciliations. 
  • Complete special projects such as implementation, research, automation, etc. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 
  • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the National ACH Association, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Follows established company policies and procedures, including but not limited to: Sarbanes Oxley controls, Business Ethics and Standard of Conduct, Electronic Communications, Confidentiality and Privacy 

 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required or 5 years’ relevant professional experience.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks. 
  • Requires strong mathematical, analytical and organizational skills. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills & excellent interpersonal skills with the proven ability to effectively collaborate with all levels of staff. 
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel with the ability to create, update and maintain complex files.

Mortgage Loan Officer

Mutual Credit Union is seeking a sales-minded individual to join our team as a Mortgage Loan Officer. This position will be responsible for managing the mortgage loan process both internally and in coordination with a third-party processer.   

The primary role of this position is to generate quality applications from our existing pool of Credit Union membership while promoting the brand to non-members in an effort to expand the overall lending footprint in compliance with established policies and procedures. The Mortgage Loan Officer is a key position in our organization and the individual must foster origination opportunities by identifying, developing, and maintaining a quality network of business relationships that serves as a recurring source of referrals for new mortgage lending opportunities. 

 

Required Skills: 

  • Be articulate, have immaculate verbal and writing skills, and the ability to effectively communicate. 

  • Relationship building and member engagement skills.  

  • Ability to organize and prioritize workflow. 

  • Promote a positive team atmosphere. 

  • Work well with others in all areas of the Credit Union. 

  • Work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Maintain a very high level of confidentiality. 

Required Experience 

  • Two to five years of experience in Mortgage Lending. 

  • BA in Business Administration or related field preferred.  

Qualifications 

  • NMLS licensure (can be acquired after hire)
